Privacy
What this site stores about you, and where the index's own privacy controls are documented.
What this site stores
- A session cookie (
ceni_session), set when the shared access password is presented. It carries no identity and no privileges — only an expiry and a signature — and lapses after twelve hours. It is required for the site to work. - A theme preference (light or dark), kept in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
There are no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts, no third-party fonts, and no account. Server logs kept by the hosting platform are retained for operational security only.
Third-party assets
Brand imagery and the hero video are served from API Automations's content delivery network at inhousevideo.b-cdn.net. Loading them discloses your IP address and browser type to that network, as any image request does. The site's content-security policy permits no other external origin.
The index's own privacy controls
Criminal Enterprise Network Index is built under written victim, minor and sensitive-data controls: privacy overrides completeness, victims and minors are never identified, restricted material is never published, and this site renders structural content only. Those controls are documented in Privacy & safety and enforced in the data layer, not only in the documents.
